Ranui Farm Park – we ventured south on Sunday, November 15th to Ranui Farm Park just out of Waipukurau. The weather was perfect and the land had dried out from earlier heavy rain in the district.
Some of us had been to this venue before as it was used for the Hawke’s Bay Trail Run Series, the course is more challenging during the winter months as the trails are slippery, we had similar conditions on our previous outing to Tongoio Falls in August.
The format was an hour and a half walk combining two trails on the farm which everyone enjoyed followed by a coffee and snack at a local cafe. Unfortunately, the chosen cafe was too popular so we cruised the main street of Waipukurau and found a suitable replacement.
After a totally enjoyable morning we were home for lunch.
