Run Walk Hawke’s Bay is a long-standing running and walking club that aims to motivate and assist people to run or walk within their own capabilities.
Our main objective is to help members reach a level of fitness with their running and walking that is within their capabilities. Although the walking and running activities will always be our main focus, social functions form an important part of our club. Many of our club members participate in events around the North Island often as a group which encourages those new to running and walking to improve their own capabilities and set new goals.
We also have several social activities throughout the year some of which involve both branches. You can view these on our social calendar or our newsletter.
The Club has branches based in both Napier and Hastings/Havelock North.
The Napier Branch has a weekly Wednesday evening meeting at 6:00 p.m. from Napier City Rovers club rooms in Park Island during summer (daylight saving) and from the Hawke’s Bay Lawn Tennis, Higgins Street, Marewa in winter. Sunday mornings there is a weekly start at 8:30 a.m from Napier City Rovers club rooms – SEE MAPS
The Hastings/Havelock North Branch has a weekly Wednesday evening meeting at 6:00 pm from the Pavilion in the Havelock North Domain and Sunday morning from the same venue at 8:00 a.m. – SEE MAPS
